The Three Founding Figures

The Blueprint has come a long way from the 2023 school year, being the first ever newspaper club at the ATC. Alumni Leilani Garcia had an idea during the summer before her senior year, she wanted to create a newspaper where students from ATC got their information about what was happening in school. Leilani began the process of coming up with a name and designing the look for the newspaper. Gaining the help from facilitators Ms. Negrete and Ms. Montanez who lent a helping hand and gave up their free time to help make this club possible. Ms. Negrete, the club’s main facilitator, who worked hard everyday to help grow the club and support the club members, as well as providing the hard printed copies of our newspaper. Ms. Montanez, the club’s support facilitator, who gave us ideas, support, and a place where we could gather and make our issues possible.

Why the Blueprint?

The Blueprint was established to keep us, the students of ATC, well informed about the events happening both within our school and in the community. We aim to cover everything, whether it be school events, club activities, or even news happening around the country. Although this serves as more than just a news source, it’s a way for the student body to share their thoughts, opinions, and even ideas. Besides keeping our classmates informed, students who join the Blueprint enhance their skills further, whether it be writing, drawing, or socializing with students and staff, every member of the Blueprint gets a chance to learn and achieve goals. "After all, a blueprint is a guide for making something or in this case achieving dreams."

Want to get Involved?

Every Tuesday in the Health Hub room B106, there is a meeting for the Blueprint, and everyone is invited to come join! You can share your ideas, give us suggestions, or even come just to check it out. There are also other ways to get involved, such as by completing our forms and participating in our interviews.
